PART FOUR: WHAT GELASSENHEIT PRODUCES

GELASSENHEIT PRODUCES AWE AND LOVE FOR MYSTERY! Sweet mystery of life, at last we've found you. GELASSENHEIT is the perfect blend of intense curiosity and eager receptivity. It is this fertile posture of the soul which zealously "makes current space" both within ourselves and within all our situations for God's penetrations of power. It is "aggressive awe" at the nearness and availability of our Lord. It is an "embracing of enigma," being thrilled with internal butterflies at the limitless possibilities of the day unfolding all blessing toward us. Every day bristles with new birthings of beauty. "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter." Proverbs 25:2.

GELASSENHEIT PRODUCES "DYNAMIC PERCEPTION!" Before GELASSENHEIT opened our perception up to behold God, we kept our spiritual eyelids shut tight without even consciously realizing it. This allowed our willpower and vain imagination to project false images on the inside of our closed eyelids. We then viewed this image from within, thinking it was reality, when in fact our spiritual eyes had remained closed the whole time. We were, in effect, creating our own inner world without any true perception or recognition of God's presence within or without. Talk about being blind! But GELASSENHEIT stimulates our soul to recognize, realize and release the power of God into all our circumstances.

GELASSENHEIT PRODUCES OPENNESS! GELASSENHEIT allows our spiritual eyes to open, our spiritual ears to unplug, and all our spiritual senses to spread wide in expectant receptivity. Psalm 37:4 calls this "delighting in the Lord." Our soul assumes the posture of "anag," the Hebrew word for "delight" in this passage, which means assuming a "pliable, soft, delicate, feminine and horizontal position." As we delight in GELASSENHEIT, God will then impart His very desires into us. His desires now become our desires---- literally. This is how His Spirit marvelously works in us "both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13).

GELASSENHEIT PRODUCES REST FOR OUR SOUL! Hebrews 4:9-10 tells us there is a "rest" that "remains" for the people of God, and that he who has "entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works." This is the light yoke of Jesus which gives us deliverance from all heaviness, hopelessness and haplessness. Our own willpower wears us out with choice, choice and more choice. Our own willpower cannot achieve the righteousness which is of God, not now, not ever. So, sheathing our willpower is always the first step to enter into the robust rest of God. We are replacing our heavy choice-laden yoke of willpower with Jesus' light "letting-be" yoke of yielding. This produces in us what has been called "higher acting" by GELASSENHEIT practitioners. This "higher acting" is simply life in the anointing, bearing both the gifts and fruits of the divine nature of Jesus, all expressed through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. Rest FROM choice, then, allows rest IN God. Rest IN God then produces the anointed acts OF God.

GELASSENHEIT PRODUCES MUSCULAR MEEKNESS WHICH ENABLES US TO INHERIT THE WORLD! It allows us to harvest every promise of God. The fields are NOW white unto harvest with the blessings of God. We merely reap the righteous rewards Jesus has already implanted into EVERY situation, event and circumstance we face. The more we see it, the more it unfolds, the more it blossoms, the more it appears. No more planting is required. No more sowing. Jesus has already over-seeded all creation with His Logos power. We have but to make space for Him by dynamic reception, vigilantly behold Him with dynamic perception, and then "let" His glory "be" released through dynamic inception. This is the treasure of GELASSENHEIT, the "letting-be" of God's glory into all our nows!

GELASSENHEIT PRODUCES THE ROAD TO RECOVERY! Wherever you have fallen, lost your way, forgot yourself and failed your calling, there is still hope. There is recovery. There are second chances, third chances, and hundredth chances with the Lord. Drop your willpower and all will be well. All manner of things will be well. It is a new day and new way in Yahweh!
